Review of Indigo Mall
1

Have already left a favourable review of Element Fresh after being a fan of their Lido branch, having to leave this under the Indigo listing (sorry Indigo, your mall is awesome!) but their new location is a complete and utter shambles.

Twice in one day I tried to visit this place and both times left with an empty stomach. In the morning I was looking for a place to hold a breakfast meeting for fifteen people and I had the audacity of walking through the open door at 10.45am only to be told to come back at 11am as they weren't open. Needless to say there were plenty of other establishments in the immediate area more than happy to accept our custom.

A glutten for punishment I returned in the evening with my family. As they have no children's menu we asked if they could possible scramble an egg for our young daughter (something most places - Blue Frog, Home Plate Pete's Tex Mex, Eudora to name a few offer to do for free). Without evening pretending to consult with the kitchen as to whether they had any eggs in stock, or had a chef with enough talent to break an egg and drop the contents in a hot frying pan they told us it was completely out of the question.

Wanting to leave to find a more suitable place, we had already ordered drink so planned to finish them quickly before storming out, cos hey, I'm a nice guy like that. Fortunaly Element Fresh inepitude came to the rescue when they told me they couldnt make the cocktail I had asked for, so we were quickly able to exit stage left.

I understand there will be teething problems but the amount of time they seemed to take training the staff before opening doesnt at all tally with the service I received on both occassions. It's so disappointing as it is a shorter walk than the Lido branch and I am ridiculously lazy and was looking forward to having it on my doorstep.

With Blue Frog and Flamme offering the same sort of product but with infintely better service I really have no need or desire to visit this place again.

I haven't been since she became 'solids' age so havent paid attention in the past, but couldnt see a kids menu in there.

It might have been a case of me being a divvy and missing it but the staff certainly made no attempt to point it out or possibly suggest an alternative.

If they were rushed off their feet I might undertsand but there was about five other people in there and double that number of staff.

In a way I was quite relieved because the place was what I believe is generally referred to as 'dead'. Was more than happy to nip across to Blue Frog to spend my hard earned.
