Review of eLong
1

I had a terrible experience with these guys.

I made a booking and was told everything is OK.

The following day I rang them just to double check. I was feeling paranoid. I don't normally use Chinese companies for this sort of thing.
The customer service person tells me no, eLong decided to cancel my booking. I ask why eLong canceled my booking. She tells me there was no reason, my credit card is OK, it is just something eLong does.
She then tells me if I want to re-book I need to pay them nearly double the price.

I try to explain to her that eLong is wrong to:
a) cancel a valid booking without informing the customer.
b) cancel a valid booking and expect the customer to now pay double the price, especially when my original booking was valid.

She of course understands none of this.

Extremely frustrating. Be warned people!
