High Altitude is my go-to coffee spot. You can guarantee a smiling face upon entering and a busy-body staff that never let up, providing a warm family atmosphere. Management obviously take great care in their product and range whole host of beans from across the world, recently even buying a roaster of their own which they tinker with throughout the day. Even if you finish your cup you can go try their rotating roasts, offered for free. I often get their salads, which aren’t anything special but are certainly big enough to fill and good for the cheap asking price of around RMB 30.
The space is big and airy and divided between high tables downstairs and a more relaxed seating area upstairs. The one downside is that there’s no attached bathroom so you have to make the walk to the nearest public toilet.
