Never seen a place like this

I was invited by a friend to La Galleria, inside a beautiful building that I had never noticed before near Tuanjiehu subway. There is artwork on the walls and on display and we saw that everything was made out of food. I am not sure how they made it, but sculptures made of chocolate and colored sugar were interesting and there were two large paintings made out of food also. We were there for dinner and my friend had been there before. There were a few other tables and it was a little noisy because it is in the middle of the basement. People were walking through the place to go to other places. I got a seafood soup which was great. The presentation was unique with all the dishes, especially that soup and my desert, which was a cheesecake that had been deconstructed. It seems that bread and cakes are their specialty because there was a lot on display and you can see into the kitchens. The food is not cheap and I did not feel full after I left, but it was fairly priced and I felt good after the meal. It was a great place for my date and will be back. Definitely worth a visit for the art and the food. Really a unique place.
