Souk Lounge Opens... Again

For those who frequented Souk in its heyday, Souk Lounge will come as somewhat of a shock. Sure, the pool table, booths, falafels (RMB 25) and shishas remain, but there are differences. If you can imagine a Moroccan youth club that decided to install a bar to attract more women, you’d be on the right track.

The space has been utilized to give the sense that if you stay late at night, (1) you can have a dance and (2) there might also be someone to dance with. Thirty-three bottled beers from around the world (RMB 20-60) with a twist of backroom sports (darts, pool and TVs) gives the displaced Danger Doyle’s crowd a new home. Plus there are no stairs.
