It's Confirmed: SALT Moves in to The Rickshaw
A press release from SALT has just confirmed our suspicions, laid bare in this blog post from last week - that Gaby Alves and her team are indeed opening their new Sanlitun restaurant in the old Rickshaw space.
No word on the new project's name - we'll give a prize to any reader who suggests a name that makes us laugh - but SALT PR chief Jennifer Eden does hint at a "fresh and contemporary" concept, "similar to SALT in terms of market positioning, but different in what will be served and how." She does add that we should not expect to see rollerskating waitresses. As far as drinks go, Eden promises "fresh original cocktails, artisan beers [and] paired drink options."
So one mystery ends, another begins - what will the new SALT be called? What type of food can we expect? What do you want to see? Stay tuned for more.
