Extreme Enough To Run 100km? Sign Up For The North Face 100 Now
The North Face 100 returns this year for its third outing in China in May. The Beijing event - which takes in the varied terrain of Changping District - is part of the outdoor clothing company’s distance trail running tour in Asia.
To highlight the extreme nature of the sport, this year’s 100km race will start an hour earlier to allow more runners to complete the distance. For those pretty sure that an hour extra is not what is keeping them from running 100,000 metres there are also distances of 50km and 10km to tackle.
To register call 8239 0042, email info@thenorthface100.com.cn or do it online here. Registration ends on April 10. The 100KM event is limited to 200 qualified participants. The 50km also demands competitors to pass certain requirements. There’s more info on how you qualify as eligible here.
The costs for non-Chinese participants is:
100km – RMB 670
50km – RMB 536
10km – RMB 335
Sign up and see if you can do better than the Beijinger staff who were stupid enough to sign-up. By the way, we’re only running the 10km ...

Does anyone know why Chinese people pay less for this event than non Chinese? I thought duel "laowei"pricing standards were a thing of the past in China?

The 10km race registration is already closed due to popular demand. Now the question is how are we going to get all these people to the Ming Tombs on a weekend morning
