Capital Bites: New Dali Courtyard, Mosto Expansion, Gramercy, DIY Muesli And Easter Weekend

Capital Bites is full to the brim this week, with news of how you can make your own muesli (almost), a new restaurant from the Dali Courtyard crew, new wine bar Gramercy and Mosto's imminent expansion. Oh, and it's Easter weekend too.

First up, Easter. All the events you need are here, but if you're serious pick up the phone and reserve immediately.

The people behind Dali Courtyard are opening a new restaurant in a courtyard 200m north of the original Dali Courtyard, at 1 Beixiawazi Hutong. We should have more news on that next week.

Wagas is slowly taking shape in the space between Element Fresh and Modo. No opening date set on that yet, but given how eager people seem to be about this place, there'll probably be a line outside when they open the doors.

The Gramercy is a new "wine and cheese salon" at Chaoyangmen U-Town. They have around 120 wines, with 18 by the glass starting from a very fair RMB 30, and bottles from around RMB 140. It's well designed, but the real draw looks like it will be the large – and as-yet unconstructed – terrace space. That and the daily 5-8pm happy hour, when it's half price on all wines by the glass. They also have a wine shop opposite, with 15 percent discounts on all bottles during their soft opening period. You can enter via the shopping mall, or find the street entrance just beside the doors of the Crowne Plaza and Blue Frog.

Mosto is set to unveil their newly expanded space within the next week - look out for more on that front in next week's Capital Bites.

We recently discovered DIY Muesli, a Beijing-based operation claiming to offer "The first customized cereal shop in China." The "Tropical" variety we tried was pretty decent, but you can dive right in and mix over 40 ingredients to create your own muesli dream team. Investigate for yourself at www.diy-muesli.com.
