What to Wear to Our Bar & Club Awards: Men’s Edition
Ladies had their turn yesterday. Now for those of you fellas scratching your heads wondering what beachwear is like for you, read on. We want you to be looking your best at the Beijinger’s Ninth Annual Bar & Club Awards, and as ready for an afternoon of drinking in the sun as you’ll ever be.
Straw hat. RMB 169. Bershka
To keep the sun out of your eyes. Plus, it’s a brave man who will wear a hat. Ladies recognize (and respect) that.
Linen shirt. RMB 399. Zara
Thin and lightweight, linen will be your savior this summer. This loose-fitting shirt will give your skin ample room to breathe, plus the interesting Mao collar adds a dash of flair.
Ksubi Antlia sunglasses. RMB 2,080. FEI Space
It can’t be all lax and laid-back. You need some toughness in your outfit too, and these edgy shades do just the trick.
Stone herring bone shorts. RMB 325. Topman
White shorts are a bold move. There’s no better time to try them than at a beach-themed bash. They instantly conjure up scenes of yachts and cruise vacations, and add a sense of luxe to even the most casual of get-ups.
Chambray boat shoes. Price TBD. H&M
This pair delivers a double dose of color and texture. Boat shoes are also a good compromise: not so casual as flip flops or sneakers, but not as formal as leather oxfords. Also, they’re way comfortable.

Wait, we're in Beijing and you're recommending overpriced vanilla from Western chain stores? Please, plug more boutiques or give more love to domestic brands like Croquis.
And your get up can use a bit more contrast.. throw some seersucker or patterns in there. Or go local and get bedazzled!
