Cookie Monsters: C Is For Chocolate Chips
Most of us may have outgrown the Santa Bunny Fairy by now, but we’ll never outgrow chocolate chip cookies. Whether sneaking them in bed ’til you’re cocooned in crumbs or enjoying a big plate fresh out of the oven with a tall glass of milk, this is one treat that never gets old. But where to satisfy that craving in Beijing? (Note: Cookies not to scale.)
The Verdict
Our judicious bench of cookie monsters all quite liked Ahava’s cookies, with Cookie’s Cookies and Pekotan each getting a vote for number one as well. Least cookie-licious was harder to decide, with Kro’s Nest, Chips Ahoy, Mrs. Fields, Subway and Cat’s Eye all getting negative nods. Yet more proof that mass-produced is rarely the way to go.
