Talking Pints: Monthly Madness and Festival Fever
Plenty going on this weekend, so best just get straight in with the highlights:
- JUE Festival has officially kicked off - check here for the weekend's offerings
- Enoterra Club opens tonight and their marking the occasion with a fancy black tie bash. Tickets are RMB 288 per person and entitle you to free-flow wine and tapas. It's at 58 Taicong Road near Jinan road, but be sure to ring ahead to make reservations on 5306 3400
- Fubar will be hosting its Monthly Wheel of Madness night where, among a bunch of drinks promotions, you have the chance to win a VIP night out in Fubar for you and 10 of your mates worth RMB 4000 – that's a lot of Dizzy Buddhas
- GT Banana continues its return to prominence by welcoming DJ Visin
- And Eddie Lv returns to Migas to House the Bar

Saturday has a lot going on too:
- The Tease Boutique are back with another party on Saturday (March 9). It's being held in 798, and it begins at 10pm. As usual, that's all I can tell you. You'll have to work for it if you want to go. Well, relatively hard; contact the organizers on their Facebook or at theteaseboutique@gmail.com.
- Mas hosts a Spring Break Party with discounted cocktails.
- The Toxic Avenger spills some bile at GT Banana.
- and 4corners has a Tattoo Party
In other news, Black Sun will throw a welcome party for their new lineup of draft beers tonight. They'll offer buy-one-get-one-free deals on the newbies until 9pm. They have also told us that they plan to introduce possibly the city's first late night sport's quiz on Tuesday nights. It starts at 11pm and offers "refreshments" for the winners.
Finally, on the subject of sport, football fans have a new, if slightly unusual, place to enjoy the crunch stages of this season's UEFA Champions League. Buoyed by the success that was their NFL Party last month, Centro will screen the remaining games. They can't do anything about the 3:45am kick off time, but they are offering special food and drinks packages between midnight and 6am on match days.
