Small Batch Gin Tasting at The Bookworm this Saturday, Aug 15
Join the gin craze this Saturday (Aug 15) at 6.30pm as The Bookworm welcomes Crystal Lee, a distributor for American small batch gins in Beijing, including Ransom Dry Gin, Ransom Old Tom, and New Deal Gin No. 1 (more information about each can be found here).
Be among the first to try out three handcrafted spirits from Oregon, one distilled with organic juniper berries, fashioned after Holland’s jenever liquor, and another developed by master mixologist David Wondrich.
Though each tasting will be served neat or on ice, the good folks at Bookworm will also throw in a free gin-based cocktail. So, at the end of the evening make sure to pick up a Tom Collins, gin-based old fashioned, or a Bee’s Knees so that you can experience how these crafty spirits enhance your favorite cocktail recipes.
Here’s how it works: RSVP by emailing anthony@beijingbookworm.com but be quick as availability is limited and guests will only be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. The evening costs RMB 160, which isn’t so bad for three glasses of gin and a cocktail.
For more information about the gins on offer, please see The Bookworm’s gin page.
