EAT: Bottega's New Lunch Deal, Sushi Class at Hatsune, BJ Foodies at Haven

This week looks to be a busy one for foodies, with things picking up again after the brief September holiday.

Firstly, one of our favorite Italian restaurants/pizza joints, Bottega, has started opening every day for lunch and with it they have a tasty RMB 78 deal. For that, you get two courses, starting with a soup or salad, and then following on with a pizza, pasta, or sandwich. There is the option to add a soft drink, coffee/tea or Tiger Beer for RMB 10.

If Japanese food is more your thing, learn how to make Hatsune's signature rolls at home this Friday (Sep 11), with their sushi samurai master class, hosted by Alan Wong. For RMB 300 per person, you'll learn how to make three different types of rolls (and of course, you'll get to eat the results).

This Sunday (Sep 13), marks the latest BJ Foodies dinner, which will be held at our new favorite Houhai establishment, Haven. Haven has built up a reputation for its satisfying Italian pizzas, but for the BJ Foodies dinner they will be roasting up a whole suckling pig. As usual, tickets cost RMB 100 per person, which includes a three-course dinner and a drink. Tickets must be confirmed by WeChat transfer (add: LumDimSum) or paid in cash.

Finally, we've heard that Jianwai Soho cocktail/whiskey bar and kitchen, Twilight, is closing its doors. Never fear though, apparently they're already looking for a new space.
