New From Modernista: Monthly Night Market Starting October 15

Recently revamped Modernista has something new for us as we move towards a much more cozy season: a monthly night market.

There will be Beijing-based jewelry makers, second-hand sellers, vintage goods, books, designers, crafts, dancing, improvisation, live music, video art, a DJ, and poetry readings. The difference? This one is not in the middle of the day, and you will not have to miss work to go to it. Unless you work evenings, of course. But you can't please everyone.

The first session of their monty night market will be held on Thursday October 15, from 6pm until 2am, and will encompass most spaces including the Art Deco Main Hall, the Balcony, the Absinthe Bar, and the little Summer Room.

If you want to perform at the market, you can either contact the organizers in advance (modernistabj@yahoo.com) or come by to surprise them. This should be a good evening of locally-sourced produce and entertainment for everyone.
