5th Annual Shuangjing Block Party Returns Sep 23 With 60 Vendors for Biggest Event Yet

Once every year, Shuangjing – that little bubble in Beijing that you may have never had a reason to visit but you keep telling yourself you really should – comes alive on September 23 for their massive Shuangjing Block Party bonanza!

Not only is it a great excuse to explore deeper into the city's southeast corner, in an area known for its great restaurants and bars and a fun tight-knit community, but it just so happens to be one of the best events of the season, packed with entertainment like live music, a bouncy castle, and face-painting and clowns (if they're your thing). There'll also be a pets corner so even your furry buddies will feel right at home.

This year the organizers have conscripted the help of 60 food, drink, arts and craft vendors to keep the party going strong, and a never-ending spread of international food and drink booths to feed the young, the old, and the mildly inebriated.

The organizers of the event, Shuangjing vets Plan B, expect more than 5,000 people to attend this year, which will make it the biggest Block Party yet. The event officially runs from 1pm to 6pm, but the crowds will more than likely stick around and get progressively more jolly as the night wears on (trust us, as the event's official media sponsors, we've seen it).
