Pebbles celebrate 10 year anniversary with Slow Boat
Fantabulous Wudaoying Hutong Mexican eatery celebrates the big 1-0 this weekend and is laying the deals on thick, much to our delight. As well as a bunch of discounts on food (see the poster above), from Friday through Sunday they are offering buy one, get one on a whole range of drinks, including margaritas, Coronas, Jarritos, selected mezcal and tequila shots, and Slow Boat Monkey's First. That brewery has also pounced on the opportunity to celebrate with the release of their latest beer, Trajinera Ube Mexican Lager, which will be served at a happy hour price (RMB 30) all weekend long.
Aperitivo at Atmosphere
"Beijing's highest bar" Atmosphere begin a new aperitivo night on weekday nights, 5-7.30pm, for bites and drinks, which include wine, beer, and a cocktail buffet spread all for RMB 198. There are certainly worse ways to unwind after work.
Whisky Tasting at Side Street
Whisky lovers won't want to miss Friday's whisky tasting event at Side Street. Starting 8pm, a veritable whisky expert will walk you through tastings on four cask strength drams from three countries, including choice bottles from Glenfarclas, Kavalan, Amrut, and Ardberg. Attendance costs RMB 250.

New holiday drinks at Q Mex and Beyond Yakitori
Both Q Mex and Beyond Yakitori get into the holiday spirit starting this week with their new range of Christmas-inspired cocktails. The former has cranberry-fied two cocktail classics, including a "cranberry mule" (cranberry juice, rum, and ginger beer) and a "cranberry old fashioned" (bourbon, sugar, bitters, and a dash of cranberry syrup, pictured at top) while the latter will slash prices on all yakitori by 50 percent when you order a bottle of sake.
