New ribs at Las Musas
Las Musas has added a very tasty new rib dish to go alongside their tacos. The salsa roja pork spare ribs are braised in a sauce made from guajillo chilies, tomatoes, vinegar, and garlic, then finished off in the oven for a bit of char. Head over and try them on Tuesdays, when you can also get unlimited tacos for RMB 120 and pitchers of margarita for 25 percent off.
Seasonal lunch menu at Bottega
Fancy a good value lunch in the Sanlitun area? Look no further than Bottega's new seasonal lunch menu. For just RMB 98, you get two courses from a selection of tasty Italian dishes like insalata caprese, risotto with pesto, sundried tomatoes, and cheese, or linguini with shrimps, zucchini, and basil. Add RMB 38 for a serving of tiramisu to finish off your meal.
Sep 10: Greek dinner with Marissa Kennedy at The Hutong
The Hutong is traveling around the world for its chef's table series and this week it has touched down in Greece. Join Greek-American chef Marissa Kennedy as she leads you on an exploration of sunny Greek flavors, featuring dishes such as sesame-crusted feta with honey, horiatiki (aka Greek salad), and stuffed vine leaves. Dinner is priced at RMB 398 per person.
Chef's table communal wine and dine at BSK
After a month or so hiatus, Black Sessame Kitchen have brought back their communal wine and dine dinners. Every Friday evening, take a seat around the table in their open kitchen and join other members of the BSK community for a mini mooncake cooking class and 10-course dinner. Dinner is priced at RMB 350 including two wine pairings. Add "BlackSesameKitchen" on WeChat to make a reservation.
Wednesday curry night at Jing-A Sanyuanqiao
Wednesday night is curry night at Jing-A Sanyuanqiao, with 50 percent off a special weekly-changing menu of four curries. Mix and match with small or big sets that come with sourdough naan bread. The offer is valid only with the purchase of an alcoholic drink (which shouldn't be a problem because this deal absolutely calls for an ice-cold lager).
