Hot pot deals at Red Bowl
Make the most of the last month or so of cool weather before it gets too hot to enjoy without strong air con blowing straight at you with these new weekday deals at trendy hot pot restaurant Red Bowl. On Monday, get 30 percent off Australian beef dishes and 30 percent off on selected seafood dishes. You'll find us there on Wednesday, when selected draft beers are 50 percent off.
Supanniga Eating Room
After several months of internal testing, the Beijing branch of Bangkok restaurant Supanniga Eating Room by Khunyai is finally open to the public, offering discounts on both set menus and a la carte dining. Located in the CP Center on Guanghua Lu (next to China Zun), the restaurant serves authentic family recipes from eastern and northeastern (Isan) Thailand.
Early reviews compare favorably with the original Supanniga Eating Room restaurants in Bangkok. Until April 30, reserve in advance and get 30 percent off set menus (available for lunch and dinner) or get 20 percent off walk-in and a la carte dining. Find reservation details in this WeChat post.
Mar 5: The Hutong Open Table: Tastes of Thailand
Speaking of Thai, The Hutong is celebrating the cusine on Mar 5 for thier next open table event. The menu features all the Thai classics you know and love, including tom yum soup, green curry chicken, stir-fried pork with Thai basil, and fried rice with pineapple and shrimp. The Hutong's Thai dinner costs RMB 428 per person, including one drink.
Mar 5: Sichuan cooking class at BSK
Sichuan food is one of the most widely served cuisines in China, and often the one that people remember the most from their time here thanks to classic dishes like kungpao chicken. If you want to learn how to recreate these dishes for yourself, head to Black Sesame Kitchen this Saturday morning (11am-1.30pm) for a Sichuan cooking class in their lovely hutong courtyard setting. The class is priced at RMB 350 per person including free-flow beer, soft drinks, and tea.
