Metal Hands Lets in the Sun with New CBD Space
Beijing born coffee shop brand Metal Hands – known for its shops in Qianmen and along Wudaoying Hutong – has opened up a new shop just outside the Fortune Mall in Guomao. Due to the smaller size of the new location, this branch of Metal Hands offers drinks only, but what drinks they are.
They’ve got a variety of dirty lattes, including a matcha dirty and fruit-flavored coffee drinks. There are also the classics like cappuccino, Americano, and espresso as well as a number of single origin bean varieties that can be ordered pour-over, cold brewed or just beans to go.

Unique Coffee Gets More Unique with Unique To Go
This Baiziwan-located shop has opened up a new spot in Sanlitun that’s mostly delivery and takeaway only. While less expansive and sleek than the Baiziwan branch, this spot offers up some pretty interesting coffee options. These include a variety of lattes, like the Hokkaido (RMB 51), the Ohhh Yeah (basically a coconut milk latte, RMB 51) and other options like the Pineapple Yelling (RMB 51), which is like black coffee with pineapple juice, if that's your thing. They’ve also got a piccolo (imagine a latte but espresso sized, RMB 28), plus scones and breads as well.

Glowworm Rounds Out New Central Chaoyang Openings
Along with the aforementioned shops, there’s Glowworm, which has just opened up near Ritan Park. While the coffee menu here isn’t all too special, and this is also a new branch (Glowworm has a few shops in Western Beijing) – they’ve got a few interesting options, like a Peppermint Soda Coffee, Coffee & Ricewine, and a Baileys Dirty (all RMB 42) – the draw here is their menu of sandwiches.
Along with classics like a tuna melt (RMB 38) and chicken salad (RMB 34), they’ve also got options like a chicken and pineapple and a few with avocado thrown in for good measure.
