Beijing is a happening city! Don't miss a thing with our weekend roundup of the latest news.

The Palace Museum Introduces New Rules: The Palace Museum -- aka Forbidden City -- has recently introduced new rules for visitors, which include a ban on commercial photography and certain items such as suitcases and trolly carts, according to a report from China Blue News. The aim of these new rules is to preserve the cultural heritage and diverse values of the Palace Museum, preventing security risks and ensuring the safety of the ancient buildings, cultural relics, and visitors. Furthermore, the Forbidden Items Catalogue of the Palace Museum stipulates that from June 30, wheeled tools with transportation and loading functions, large photographic equipment, and other equipment will be prohibited. These measures will help maintain the site's cultural heritage and visitors' safety while exploring the Palace Museum.

New Railway Line Connecting Tianjin and Beijing Completed: The Jinxing Railway's main line, which will shorten the travel time between Beijing and Tianjin to around 30 minutes, has been completed as of Jun 29, according to CCTV. The railway spans 100.79 kilometers and consists of six stations, running from Tianjin West Railway Station to Daxing Airport Station. The line will undergo further testing before it is expected to open within the year. The Jinxing railway creates a fast track for the integrated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, while also providing faster and more convenient transportation options for travelers.

Workers' Stadium Enhances Safety Measures: Workers' Stadium has undertaken enhanced security measures as of Jun 29, reports CHINANEWS.COM. The entrance to the stadium passage was fortified with an isolation net and a double isolation fence, and the number of security personnel present at matches has been increased. The new measures are happening because of, you guessed it, the die-hard fan who ran onto the pitch to hug Messi during the recent Argentina v. Australia match.
