The annual Jingkids International School Expo (JISE) is coming up, Oct 24-25 at Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel.

This event, which is free to attend, is a great opportunity for parents to meet the teachers and faculty of Beijing’s top international schools and find the school that’s the right fit for their child. With over 100 international schools in attendance, forums featuring principles and education experts, and much, much more, JISE 2020 is the go-to event for families interested in giving their children a world-class education.

This expo is all-encompassing and the biggest education event of its kind, bringing together an incomparable number of schools and a large, diverse number of attendees from Beijing’s local and expat parenting community. In order to assist parents as they navigate the widening landscape that is Beijing’s international school choice, this expo serves as a comprehensive and informative event held in a superb venue where schools can show off their state-of-the-art curriculums and facilities.

The History and Development of JISE

JISE, formerly known as the beijingkids International School Choice Expo, is an annual fair focusing on the latest and greatest in education. We strive to not only provide insight into school choice, but also the rapidly developing education sector as a whole.

The growing international education community and its increasing number of schools mean parents are ever-more anxious about choosing the right school, resulting in some who blindly prioritize prestige over long-term educational goals.

This year’s JISE theme, From Beijing to the World, places an emphasis on helping parents prepare their kids for modern, globalized professional communities, through an in-depth analysis of educational opportunities, one-on-one face time with faculty and industry experts, and the myriad learning experiences this expo is designed to facilitate.

Jingkids International School Expo (JISE) 2020

JISE 2020 will have over 60 schools to choose from, spanning preschool to K-12, with representatives from each school ready to answer all of your questions about not only what’s new, but more importantly, what’s next!

Beijing Hot & Spicy Festival will return once again to Galaxy Soho for its third installment, Aug 14-16. As long as the great habaneros in the sky continue to smile down on us, dozens of Beijing's best spicy food vendors will gather at China’s only spicy-themed festival to sling dishes and drinks that will make your mouth grow its own tiny mouth just so it can scream. All the while, live music and entertainment will keep the vibes as fresh as spicy curry out of the pan, and the 10th Annual Hot Chili Pepper Eating Contest will have Beijingers breathing fire on stage.

You'll want to grab your sombrero and taste for spicy margaritas, because Mexico is the country of honor at this year's fest, meaning you can expect to be Living 辣 Vida Loca as you shove down plenty of tacos and wash them down with a spicy-salt margarita.

POSTPONED:--> Hot & Spicy 2020 Postponed in Light of Latest COVID-19 Outbreak

Beijing is heating up my friends, and in more ways than one: not only have we nearly sold out of vendor space for this year's Hot & Spicy Festival over Dragonboat Festival weekend (Jun 25-27), but we've settled on a suitably fiery theme! And what could be more fitting than the land of everything that is delicioso and picante – México!

A country famous for its incredible food culture and vibrant street life, Mexico makes for the ideal backdrop for a three-day food festival. It also gives us every excuse to fill the Galaxy Soho to the rafters with tacos, nachos, and an endless supply of tequila. Of course, there'll be other food on offer too, including plenty of local favorites and 20 vendors who stand to blow Beijing's collective lid off in what will be their inaugural appearance at Hot & Spicy Festival. Take a look at the growing list of spicy vendors below:

Salivating? Put that rabid energy to good use and secure your RMB 30 advance tickets, now on sale! To sweeten the deal we're throwing in a sombrero with every pre-purchased ticket – for absolutely free! The hats are limited, so get yours now before they sell out.

Note: This year, to prevent overcrowding and to promote social distancing, we will limit the number of people that can enter the venue at any one time. Once you scan the QR code below, please select your entrance time. You will be requested to "check in" to the event during these hours, however, you will not be asked to leave at the conclusion of your allotted time.

Scan here to secure your tickets now!

We're counting down the days until we can sweat it out together, Beijing!
