Thanksgiving may look a little different this year for those of us that celebrate. While we may not be able to join around the table with our family and friends like before, Beijing United Family Hospital and AmCham China are hoping to bring some tradition and cheer. Join us Thanksgiving morning (November 26th) at 7 AM for a 5K Turkey Trot! We'll run or walk through Chaoyang Park in preparation for the day's feast. A BJU Physiotherapist will lead the warm-up and cool-down stretches, and snacks and warm drinks await you at the finish line. On NOVEMBER 21, Krav Maga Global (KMG) Beijing will be hosting an introductory self-defense training session to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

This 2-hour event will include an introduction to both physical training for practical skills, and understanding the realities of violence and self-defense for women.

In this session, we will cover several key topics: Harassment and violence towards women; dealing with attackers that are bigger and stronger than you; understanding the escalations of violence; turning on the self-defense mindset; situational awareness; using tools for self-defense; and much more.

On NOVEMBER 22, Krav Maga Global (KMG) Beijing will be hosting a practical safety and self-defense workshop for parents and kids.

This two-hour hands-on workshop focuses on practical skills, tactical thinking, and situational awareness when in public spaces with kids. This eye-opening session will include some intensive physical training portions to teach parents the best ways to respond when dealing with threats to their children.

This workshop will cover the following topics: Understanding common tactics that abductors use; avoid getting ambushed or surprised; situational awareness; turning on the self-defense mindset; deterring and fighting off an abductor (verbal, physical, etc.); controlling and moving your child in a self-defense situation; working with your child on self-defense; and much more.
