Don't be a Couch Potato: Fitness Venues Spring Festival Opening Hours

This Week in Health and Fitness brings you the best fitness and health goings on around town so you can live your #bestlife.

With oft-smoggy weather and cold temperatures, the temptation for those of us staying in Beijing is to hole up on the couch with the latest TV boxset and frequent deliveries from whatever restaurants happen to still be open. However, this being a fitness column and all, I obviously can't recommend this course of action (that being said, Westworld is pretty great...). If you are determined to stay active during the holiday (January 27-February 2, unless otherwise stated), make sure to check the list below to see if your favorite gym/fitness studio is open. We'll add opening hours for other locations as and when we get them.

If the gym isn't your thing, why not take advantage of the time off work to get out of the city and go for a hike? Beijing Hikers are running a couple of hikes during the Spring Festival period, including an ice hike that crosses a frozen river in Miyun and a trip to Longqing Gorge in Yanqing. Is the Beijinger paying writers according to the lengths of their introductory paragraphs now? Does anyone need (or read) these consistently bloviated attempts at lifestyle humor?

If you're going to post an article about gym closures, by all means, do so. That's great information. But can you please just give us the silver dollar and leave the two cents out?
