Apothecary Closed for Renovations
Nali Patio cocktail joint Apothecary is undergoing some renovation work for the next couple of weeks, but is set to reopen with a "badass return."
The Leon Lee vehicle announced Friday on its Instagram account that it was set to undergo a couple of weeks of gentrification, and today posted the above shot of rubble.
We contacted Apothecary to find out more about the changes.
"It's been four years and we just felt it was time for a remodel," said Lee. "We're redoing the floors and the walls, and changing the color scheme."
Lee revealed that the walls will be stencilled with blueprints of bespoke cocktail regalia, for which he holds the patents. He says the interior will reflect how Apothecary has always been about the exacting science of making cocktails.
Lee also revealed that wholesale changes to the food and drink menus are in the pipeline. The bars extensive selection of 110 cocktails on-menu is being trimmed down to a selection of seasonal and house concoctions, with a rotating list of classics in support.
"People were interested in the craft of cocktails when we first started," said Lee. "They're not anymore. Now you might as well get your cocktails from a vending machine. We want to stick to doing quality craft cocktails. People know what they like."
