Review of Let's Burger

While its not Big Kahuna Burger you know that Hawaiian burger joint, the burgers they serve up are incredibly tasty. I had the American Deluxe, and it was 2 angus beef patties with cheese, and the first bite sold me that this was a serious place trying to make a great burger and a great experience for the customer.

The herb fries were good, but I wished they used fresh herbs instead of from what seemed like from a shaker.

The staff are smartly attired in black with white aprons. The environment is classy, sort of shocked me for san li tun. I felt like this could be Boston or NYC. The only drawback was the fact that you have to stand at the register and order. I mentioned to one of the HK owners that they should have the waitstaff take your order at your seat. He said he would mention it to his co-owners. I think this place gets it right the burger was succulent, and the bun was thick enough to hold the massive 2 patties, without disintegrating. The flavor of the meat fresh and cooked to perfection. It was worth every penny even at 98 rmb.

To top it off, I had a slice of chocolate truffle cake, which absolutely made me doubt that I was actually in China, it was so dense with mellow notes of chestnut and hazelnut wafting in over the Chocolate explosion.

Anyway Im no food critic but, all this debate about where to find the best burger should end with this place.

My review of Lets Burger:

Pros:
-Tasty burger for high but not ridiculous price
-Good location in Nali Spanish boutique area of Sanlitun
-Huge selection of sauces to choose from, including American favorites

Cons:
-Steak fries are soft and too greasy

-Onion soup was quite pathetic, cannot at all compare to Hard Rock Cafe

-Small aluminum can of soda (of course, no refill) is 18. about 6 times what you would pay outside

Conclusion:
-Try it out, order a burger and maybe a beer (about the same price as other similar joints),but pass on fries and soda

good location, but other than that, it was over 100rmb for a burger thats served cafeteria style. they just nickel and dime you for everything there, including water. if u hate getting ripped off because they take adv. of foreigners thing in china, then avoid this place.
