EAT: Miss Muesli's New Packaging and Muesli Bars, Raw at Mosto, Beijing Tasteweek
Miss Muesli is bringing us Beijingers a new look, inspired by spring’s vivid colors. While the outside has metamorphosed, the product inside is the same old muesli we've come to love, with just a few slight improvements to the recipes. For example, Mr Naughty Nut is now even nuttier and crunchier, and Miss Fruit Fever has even more freeze-dried fruit in the mix.
For those who prefer to make their own mix, the kind ladies at Miss Muesli have also added new bases: cornflakes, rice crispies, and wheat flakes. On the fruit side, there are now freeze-dried strawberries, papaya, and raspberries, too, and on the nutty side, you can now add macadamia nuts, and natural almonds. If you’re looking for something even faster, the new muesli bars are the way to go.
Not only do they come in individual packaging, but they’re super tasty and makes for an easy snack (RMB 48 for three bars, mix and match). Our favorite is the Beauty Bar, made with oats, mango, white sesame, sunflower seeds, honey, and lemon juice.
Over in Sanlitun, Mosto are preparing for Raw, the perfect spring and summer event involving ceviche, tiradito, and leche de tigre. These cousins of sushi and sashimi not only conquered Peruvian hearts, but the whole world. All you have to do is pick your favorite seafood from the Raw Bar – the pop-up bar set up in Mosto – choose your preferred serving style, be it ceviche, tiradito or carpaccio, and let Chef Daniel and Juan work their South American magic. Raw is available between May 12-15, so put it down in your calendars now!
