EAT: New Gung Ho! Deals, No-Phone Promotion at Caravan, New Annie's Antipasteria in Shunyi
If you're feeling like the end of the month (and pay day) are far away, then there's all the more reason to make the most of Beijing's food and drink deals. Luckily for us, there a few new savings to take advantage of this week.
Kicking us off, Gung Ho! has released these weekday specials to keep us all on our toes. From now on, salads are 50 percent off on Mondays, pizzas are buy-one-get-one-free on Tuesdays, chicken wings are 50 percent off on Wednesdays, and pasta is 50 percent off on Thursdays. To check whether the deals are available instore or delivery only, check out this handy table below:
Now that you've got lunch covered, head to Caravan or Cuju (before Cuju closes, that is) between 6pm and 7pm every day to enjoy a 50 percent discount on your entire bill. There's one catch: you've got to leave your phone behind the bar for the entire hour (no exceptions, not even for your mother!). That sounds like a pretty fair deal to us.
For those of you living out in Shunyi, fear not, there are also deals for you: Annie's has opened up a second Annie's Antipasteria at the beloved chain's Riveria location, following the opening of their Guanghua Lu location three months ago, disproving the all-to-common misconception that Italian food is often heavy on the stomach.
This second location follows a similar template, offering a range of salami and other tasty cold cuts (pictured at top), along with numerous bruschettas and other tasty hors d'oeuvres. Some of the best beverages on hand include Re Ale (a popular Italian beer) and numerous wines. These elements make Annie's Riveria antipasteria an ideal destination for tasty Italian eats that won't leave you feeling bloated and there's certainly nothing on par with it in terms of quality or variety in the off-the-beaten-path Riveria neighborhood.
