This Week in Health and Fitness: B Active Turns Three, Singles' Day Air Purifier Deals
This Week in Health and Fitness looks at the latest goings on in health and fitness around town so you can live your #bestlife.
Beijing's favorite (only?) 24-hour gym, B Active, turns three this month, and they are celebrating with a bunch of great deals. Teaming up with Tribe Organic, they are offering customers who purchase 12 personal training sessions two months of free gym membership and a RMB 1,000 voucher for Tribe. Make those VIP personal training sessions, and you'll get a RMB 1,300 voucher. Membership gives you 24-hour access to both their Sanlitun and Chaowai Soho locations.
B Active have also launched a cooperation with Beijing-based natural skin care brand, Yellow Pummelo, giving away a free organic lip balm with any membership, personal training, or group class purchase. Find out more about Yellow Pummelo's yummy products by following them on WeChat at YellowPummelo.
Now, this column usually sticks with the food and exercise side of healthy living, but we all know the biggest challenge to your health in Beijing (apart from all those happy hour deals) is the air. With an amber warning out for pollution over the weekend, those who haven't yet installed an air purifier in their home might want to start shopping around. Luckily for those people, November 11 marks the great high holiday of consumerism in China – Singles' Day – and it is already looking like there will be some good deals to be had.
Origins Technology have deals on both their signature Laser Egg (until Nov 7) and the Oxy Box air purifier (Nov 8-11). The Laser Egg is on offer for RMB 449 (previously RMB 499), including a few free gifts, while the Oxy Box is being offered with two free replacement filters (worth RMB 1,940) and a free Laser Egg. Order via their website, their WeChat store, or JD.com.
You will also be able to pick up deals on Xiaomi's popular, good value air purifier, which will be discounted by an as-yet-unspecified amount on November 11 (at least RMB 100, usual price RMB 699). You'll have to be quick on the draw with this one – many of the deals announced on November 11 itself sell out within minutes.
