Cassettes and Cocktails returns tonight at nugget
Tonight at 8pm, your favorite tiny bar is opening its cassette collection. Drown yourself in a cocktail or a beer from the fridge and jam out with tunes in analog fashion. Most people don’t have their own, but just in case you brought some cassettes you nabbed from your dad’s ’86 Honda Accord back home, you're more than welcome to play them on nugget's system.
Slow Boat releases special CNY bottles of coveted Monkey’s Fist Imperial IPA
It’s been more than five years since Slow Boat put their super-high ABV Imperial IPA in a bottle. This 10 percent monster is the winter warmer that you're looking for. The first 100 units will sport a CNY-inspired box, just in case you wanted to keep the empty bottles to remember the time you got sloshed celebrating.
Jing-A saves uncles with haircuts & brings back a special coffee brew
For RMB 60, you can get a haircut and a free beer while celebrating hutong life. This Jing-A tradition has been happening since 2016 and allows you to grab a beer, get a trim, and play in the winter sun. Head to Jing-A Longfusi this Saturday, Jan 22 from noon to 5pm, but get there early because haircuts are on a first-come-first-served basis.
Jing-A is also bringing back an old favorite, their Imperial Yunnan Coffee Stout. Featuring rich roasted malts that are aged three months in a Jim Beam bourbon oak barrel, this boozy beast – clocking in at 12 percent – gets an added boost from Yunnan coffee beans provided by Beijing coffee shop Daxiao, lending it chocolate, mocha, and vanilla notes. Available on tap at all Jing-A locations starting today, Jan 21.
