Q MEX is Your Wheel of Fortune and Sports Hot Spot for the Month

Starting Jan 31 and continuing on until Feb 6, Q MEX will be spinning their Wheel of Fortune at all locations.  Every RMB 500 spent gets you one chance to win Prizes include free booze, food and cash vouchers.  If that wasn’t enough, Q MEX’s legendary daily half-price deals will still be available and happy hour is on every day.  Check out their two person and three-four person set meals during Spring Festival. 

Sports are on at Q MEX as well, starting with the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony Friday Feb 4 at 8pm and Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid on Sunday, Feb 6 at 11.15pm.  For American Football fans, the Super Bowl will be showing on Monday, Feb 14 at 7:30am at the Sanlitun and CBD locations. 

Hongbao’s and Hamburgers, a new Side Street tradition?

Side Street is about to become your favorite uncle, because they’re giving out Hongbaos with every hamburger throughout the holiday.  Prizes include free burgers, drinks and discounts.  Walk up to the bar after you receive your Hongbao to get your prize.

Slow Boat Debuts a Bunch of New Libations for CNY

All Slow Boat locations will remain open during CNY and with a fresh new lineup of beer and hard seltzers, it’ll be hard to leave without trying all of them.  The brew masters at Slow Boat really put in their muscle into releasing such creative and well-rounded brews it’ll be hard not to appreciate their artwork. 

These new brews, which we’ve covered a few of, include an Old German style Altbier called Alter Ego (4.8%), Youyou Lele Cheese Tea Beer with Cherry and Guava (4.7%), Blowing Raspberries IPA (6.7%), Swirl Cocoa Vanilla Hefeweizen (5.2%), Edge of Yunnan Citron Ale (5.7%), Retro Reborn West Coast IPA (pictured above) (6.6%), Imperial Waters Milkshake Stout with Nautella (8.0%), and lastly the Soft Spot Hard Seltzer with Osmanthus and Peach (4.5%).

Go for Gold at Jing-A

Jing-A is super excited for the Beijing Winter Olympics and they want you to celebrate with them.  From Feb 2 to Feb 20, for every gold that Team China wins, Jing-A will buy a round of their Ice Ice Baby for everyone watching at all their locations.  Offer valid only during opening hours and for guests who are present during the win.

While you are waiting on a win from Team China, check out Jing-A’s newest member of their “Death By” series (see lead image).  This round the brewery seeks to transport drinkers back to the white sandy beaches of Sanya and Thailand with the addition of a ton Sabro hops which has a ton of coconut flavor as well as aging the beer on a large bed of roasted coconuts.
