Nov 3-4: Diwali celebration at Jing-A

Diwali — also known as Deepavali and Divali — is here! The five-day Hindu festival of lights is one of the most popular events of the year, celebrating the “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.” Jing-A is celebrating with an extended version of their Curry Night menu, featuring dishes like chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, and prawn korma, as well as a special cocktail dubbed the "Firecracker," made with tequila, lime, passionfruit, chili, coriander, and grapefruit juice. They'll also have masala chai concocted by tea and coffee aficionados Daxiao. If you're going as a group, grab one of their large curry sets (enough for 4-5 people) for just RMB 175.

Nov 4: Italian aperitvo with China Wines & Spirits at Opera Bombana

Celebrate the art of aperitivo at Opera Bombana this Thursday, Nov 4, when China Wines & Spirits will be opening magnums from some of their favorite Italian wine producers, including Bellavista Alma Grand Cuvée Brut sparkling wine. Of course, it wouldn't be aperitivo without snacks, and Opera Bombana executive chef Andrea Susto will deliver with a selection of signature canapés, such as arancini with saffron and Taleggio cheese and home-baked focaccia with mortadella and rucola. The event is priced at RMB 298 per person.

New set lunch options at Georgia's Feast

This newly-returned Georgia's Feast has just launched a series of set lunch menus at their new location in Dongzhimen. Choose from a Georgian set (RMB 98 per person), featuring traditional Georgian dishes like kharcho soup, chkmerli (chicken in garlic sauce), and a mini cheese and egg khacapuri, or go for something healthier with a set built around chicken breast salad and pesto pasta (RMB 88) or grilled salmon with cauliflower purée (RMB 108).
