Side Street Jianguomen’s Grand Opening Bash Happens Tomorrow, Jul 30
Head on down to Side Street’s new branch in Jianguomen to experience the 2019 Burger Cup winner’s new menu and a three DJ lineup from 5pm onwards. They’ve added some new snacks and mains to their menu, including “lentil popcorn” bites and BBQ pork ribs, but we’re most excited for their new Wagyu beef KO, which will be debuting tomorrow as well.

Mini Hamburger Offers Up Different Sliders and Good Sets
A new burger spot has entered the capital, and this time they’re focusing solely on sliders. Mini Hamburger sports a simple menu: three kinds of sliders – fried chicken, fried fish, and Wagyu beef (RMB 66.8, RMB 68.9, and RMB 88.8 for three respectively) – plus side options like fries, guac-covered nachos, and, interestingly, deep fried corn on the cob.
They’ve got great deals on sets consisting of three sliders and fries for RMB 32 and up available on Meituan, or they have a set featuring the Wagyu, chicken and fish slider side by side for a little over RMB 69.8. Find it on Meituan by searching 汉饱嗝Hamburger or at the address below.

New Seasonal Burgers from Burger King & McDonald’s
In other capital burger news, Burger King and McDonald's have dropped some new seasonal offerings as of late.
Burger King this week debuted a Black Truffle Angus Burger (黑松露安格斯汉堡 Heisonglu Angesi Hanbao) (RMB 45 for burger, which is pretty much just a plain burger with cheese, and lettuce smothered in truffle mayonnaise, and a Roasted Pineapple Whopper (火烤菠萝皇堡 Huokao Boluo Huangbao) (RMB 36 for burger), which features a chicken or beef patty topped with bacon, roasted pineapple, tomato, lettuce and mayo.
McDonald’s, on the other hand, seems to have gotten a bit lazy with their seasonal stuff, their McCrunch Chicken Sandwich (RMB 45.9 for set with chicken nuggets, chicken wings and a drink) amounts to what’s essentially a Spicy McChicken with tomato and lettuce added on.
