Talking Pints: Okra's New Cocktails, Wahoo Round Two, Plus Free Mulled Wine

Christmas and Boxing Day are over, but that's no reason to not fit in a few more pints before you pretend to start on your New Year's resolutions. If you're one of those lucky ones who hosted a holiday party and found half-empty bottles of wine in the deepest corners of your flat, then you're probably good to go for awhile. For the rest of us, Beijing's bars have us covered with can't-miss deals:

TGIF at Scarlett: From 5-11pm, the wine haunt ends the week by setting all standard drinks at RMB 30. They top that off with buy five, get one free.

Fat Troy Slim at Fubar: The lead guitarist of The Beijing Beatles is luring folks in Gongti's Fubar with free mulled wine before 10pm.

Buy One Get One Free Draft at Trouble Bar: We told you last week that Drive-Thru bar was renovated and reopened with the name Trouble. Now for the (wonderfully) troublesome combo: they've lugged over a coin-operated jukebox from the US and have set their Schofferhofer Hefe Draft at buy one for RMB 40, get the second free until January 20.

Red Revival at Wahoo: Some of us haven't stopped celebrating Christmas, and that goes for Wahoo, who is on their second round of "Red Revival: Hot Christmas Party." Dress classy in red, black, or white and enjoy unlimited drinks, dance performances, and something called "the big burning test." We're already curious...

Craft Beer Tuesdays at Plan B: The neighborhood bar in Shuangjing can help you get your New Year's Eve started with their latest addition to their beer selection at RMB 25 a bottle.

New Happy Hour at Okra 1949: This would be a good time to try out Max Levy's new cocktail menu as Okra 1949 has just begun a daily happy hour from 6-8pm when all signature cocktails are buy one at RMB 68, get one free.

In case you're saving yourself for Tuesday, then keep an eye here and here for where to sip and party on New Year's Eve.
